Tobot Tritan (Korean: 트라이탄/Teurytan) is the combination of Tobot X, Tobot Y, and Tobot Z.
Tritan was retired after Y changed to his Adventure model. However, in Tobot: Daedo's Heroes, he made a reappearance with a blockier build. He possesses the chivalry of a knight.
Traits[]
Appearance[]
Tritan is bigger than Tobots X, Y, Z and Titan, but it smaller than Quatran. Tritan has ear wings slightly similar to Titan, although Tritan's are golden. The rocket boosters on his back are used when he uses his Super Jump move, and can give him temporary flight. He is coloured in various shades of red, blue, and orange, and he has a T-shaped visor. In comparison to other combination Tobots, he has a slightly smaller head in proportion to his body.
Personality[]
Tritan has a formal speech pattern and bows after every move, a sign of respect. Tritan's bows are similar to how taekwondo practitioners bow before and after entering the dojang, performing breaks, performing patterns, sparring, and the like. Like other combination Tobots, his personality is not as defined as individual Tobots, but he shares the common Tobot trait of being willing to sacrifice his life for the safety of others, as seen in the Merging of Minds.
Abilities[]
Up until Quatran's debut, Tritan was the strongest Tobot on the team, though he was eventually retired after X and Y's Adventure upgrades. Tritan is capable of various "super" attacks, most notably his signature move, the Super Combo, which combines the Super Dash, Jump, and Drop. He also has a shield extension.
To emphasize Tritan's position as the strongest Tobot combiner during his prime, his attack prefix is "Super", which is fitting for the power output of each attack. Tritan's Pilot setup is such that each pilot leads the other two in executing the command for the moves that correspond to his Tobot's attributes (i.e. Ryan leads Super Drop as it is a power-type move, Kory leads Super Dash as it is a speed-type move, and Dylan leads Super Jump as it is an agility-type move).
Tritan's main weapon is the Super Spider Gun (unnamed in the English dub), a presumably larger version of Tobot Z's Spider Gun with similar capabilities (with the standard attack being called Super Spider Blast in the English dub). Dylan leads the command that summons the gun.
Moveset[]
- Super Blast: Tritan delivers a powerful punch to the enemy. The move was strong enough to take out Dumpbot with one blow. The move can be considered an upgraded version of Titan's Green Energy Pulse. In Heroes of Daedo City, as Ryan Char downloaded the combiner program, he made errors resulting in a glitchy moveset. This resulted Tritan throwing multiple punches instead of just one. This bug was later corrected.
- Super Combo: All three of the following moves performed simaltaneously.
- Super Drop: Tritan positions himself behind the enemy and performs a suplex, dropping the enemy on its head. Both the Super Blast and Drop are power-based attacks led by Ryan.
- Super Dash: Tritan dashes at lightning-fast speeds, reaching desired locations quickly or dodging enemy attacks. The move was originally called Super Dodge during Tritan's first battle, before being renamed to Super Dash, likely in order to increase its flexibility. This move is speed-based and is led by Kory.
- Super Jump: Tritan uses his jet boosters to jump exceptional distances, allowing him to battle enemies that would otherwise be out of reach. This move is agility-based and is led by Dylan.
- Thunder Power: Tritan uses the Super Spider Gun to unleash an electric blast, shocking enemies that it hits and draining their energy. As the attack is electric-based by nature, its effects travel through water. Due to the Spider Gun being absent in all forms in Daedo's Heroes, Neo Tritan instead channels it through the Spider Jump Rope.
- Shield-On: Tritan utilizes a new accessory piece developed by Dr. Noh as a direct counter to the Corona Lens. When the command is received, Tritan summons the accessory, causing his colors to change and his wings to fold downwards (side note: the latter quirk doesn't happen in Tobot: Attack of the Robot Force. It's unknown whether this was intentional or if it was a continuity error). Tritan is then able to defend himself against most attacks with an energy barrier, though it puts a strain on his energy levels. Neo Tritan retains this ability, but does not undergo any physical changes while using it, with the additional ability to manifest it as a protective bubble to contain people. Both this move and Thunder Power do not have a designated "main pilot" and are executed by all three.
- Super Kick: Almost identical to the Super Punch, but instead of a punch, it's a kick.
Relationships[]
- Ryan, Kory, and Dylan & Han: Tritan's attitude towards his Pilots is similar to that of a knight. He follows every command that they give him, as the majority of Tobots do. He also cares about them immensely, as seen in "Merging of Minds" where he sacrificed himself to save his Pilots.
Toys[]

- Tobot Tritan (2011)
- Accessories: 5 cards, Menko x5, stickers, wrench tool
- Released as the second combiner in the Tobot toyline overall, Tobot Tritan is comprised of a blue Tobot X as the arms and upper back, a red Tobot Y as the feet, and an orange Tobot Z forming the majority of the main body. Due to the nature of his design, Tritan's articulation is very much limited, as he lacks thigh rotation and outward hip movement as well as forward shoulder movement.

- Tobot Tritan Shield On (2012)
- Accessories: Shield generator, Spider Gun, rubber bands, targets
- This version of Tritan recolors everything but the off-white and red parts, switching the orange (including Tobot Z) for blue, Tobot X becoming gunmetal gray, and Tobot Y becoming bright white. This release also comes with the titular shield generator, which has lights and sounds and can clip in the back behind the head, while a smaller version of Tobot Z's Spider Gun is also included.
- Mini Tobot Tritan (2016)
- Compared to the original Tritan toy, this Tritan has significant changes in terms of design; Tobot X now splits in half completely, and the front of the car and the bicep door panels now form the elbowpads and forearms, respectively, while Tobot Z's intricate detail pieces (the folding windows on the door wings and the expanding chest panels) are omitted, and he now forms the entire torso. Tobot Y comparatively stays the same.
- In 2023 Mini Tritan would be reissued for Korean markets, but the Kia branding has been removed.
- Tobot Neo Tritan (2023)
- Preorders opened up on online Korean retailers on October 21 until November 1 to ship out on the 10th, and the first 100 orders for each seller would come with an exclusive gift of X, Y, Z standing keyrings, one of four photo cards of Lee Dahl and the boys and their voice actors, or one of four autographed cards.
- Mini Tobot Tritan (2023)
- The 2023 Tritan design would also recieve a mini version, being heavily simplified as a result. Despite this, like the larger toy, the 2023 version is still much more posable than the original mini Tritan.
Trivia[]
- Tritan's basic design template was later used for Athlon Champion.
- If X, Y, and Z were to retain their original colors in Neo Tritan, the resulting color layout would heavily resemble the original, the only real changes being light blue as the secondary color instead of orange.
- Tritan is the only combiner in Daedo's Heroes to state his name at the end of the combination sequence. The other combiners instead state it after the sequence.
- In the original series, the booster rockets on the back of the legs on the original Tritan toy were misinterpreted as decorative circles.
